WE ARE LEARNING TO WRITE A RECOUNT:

PURPLE CAKE DAY

Yesterday it was Purple Cake Day. It was at Nelson Central School. We did it so we could raise money for the people in the earthquakes.

My mum and I decorated cupcakes. I got dressed in a purple dress. Kayla wore shorts and a long sleeved top. The choir did beautiful singing indeed.

Purple cake day was amazing.

On March 1^st at Nelson Central School it was Purple Cake Day. We were raising money for the people that died in Christchurch.

On Purple Cake Day Kath Bee sang a song about Purple Cake Day. It was cool. Heaps of people dressed up. We all got a purple cupcake. They were yummy.

It was fun. My favourite thing was eating cupcakes.

Yesterday at Nelson Central School we had Purple Cake Day. We raised money for Christchurch and Haiti.

The choir sang two songs. Some people played some drums and guitars. After that we got cupcakes.

I liked Purple Cake Day.

PURPLE CAKE DAY

Yesterday it was Purple Cake Day. Nelson Central School was raising money for Haiti and Christchurch.

I was in the choir. The rest of the school were watching. My mum Sky was at the front field watching me too. I felt happy.

Kath Bee sang a song. It was cool. I was singing ‘Love Shine a Light’ and I sang “I wonder if I light a tiny candle”. I heard drums, guitars and violins.

It was cool.

Yesterday at Nelson Central School it was Purple Cake Day. We raised money for people in Haiti and Christchurch.

Kath Bee sang a song about love to Haiti and Christchurch. Then I had a cupcake, it was yummy. Then I had my face painted and Paige B got her face done. She had a butterfly on her face. I got a love heart, it was red! Then I put glitter on me.

Then it started to rain and we had to go under cover. We did not get wet.

It was fun at the front field. The cupcakes were yummy. Kath Bee was singing a song. It was cool. The best part was the songs and the cupcakes. I wore a purple top and some shorts.

I loved the choir because I was in it.
